For humans on planet earth?
Thrilling, awe-inspiring
Yet without promise.

Terrifying utter lifelessness
Magnificent in deadness
Glorious horror,
Eerie silence

Mount Sharp spoke sharply
‘No Room in the Inn.
You will be aliens here
I was not made for you.
Take care of what you have.’

Curiosity delivered
The panorama
The marvellous phenomena.
A visual sumptuous sup
For the insatiable scientist.

1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
