Exit from this World, Present with the Lord
I must work the work of He Who has sent Me
He gives me the will to will, do and please.
He transforms, inspires, charges and renews,
Exit from this world, present with the Lord.
I must wait patiently, listening to His voice.
He bids me to stand in the gap for the lost.
He replies, supplies, informs and imparts
Exit from this world, present with the Lord.
I must speak the Words that I hear Him speak.
He desires that I do the works that He did..
He confirms, affirms, comforts and completes.
Exit from this world, present with the Lord.
I must be bold, confident and go for the gold.
He assures me that He is always with me.
He protects, promotes, anoints, approves.
Exit from this world, present with the Lord.
21</SPAN>For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. 22If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know! 23I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far;
Phil1:21-23
Re: Exit from this World, Present with the Lord
I enjoyed the poem and you quoted one of my favorite verses. Let me add another verse here just to enforce the idea;
So we make our goal to please Him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it (2 Cor 5:2-3)
I do not know whether I am able to understand poetry but surely I enjoy your poems. I used to read John Dunn's Biblical poetry, I hope you have also read him. I like one of my favorite verses from one of his poems.
Nothing begins and nothing ends;
This is paid with moan -
For we are born in others pains
and perish in our own
God bless you and your family

Re: Exit from this World, Present with the Lord
I am glad that i tapped into one of your favourite scriptures. Whenever my favourite scripture is used I take it as the Lord reinforcing it or speaking to me.
Thank you for adding your scripture to reinforce the message.
I have not read John's Biblical Poetry but I if like it , it must be good.
God bless you
Fenny
