And the burglar came again
I had prayed, ‘God arrest him.
Rein him in.’

He came again, brazen
Just after 16 days
How voracious and audacious!
August wicked visitation
was not enough.
October loot was not enough.

And so planned to ruin
my graduation Day, November 7;
Looking for Christmas booty and goody;
Intoxicated by previous success;
Lured by his master.

With a big band, smashed
the windows by the road, entered,
Rampaged, bagging monitor,
guitar Recording studio, mp4 and cash
Bent on ruining my music
Wrong, spoil, my song for long.

Quickly made a dash for the door
No so lucky as before
Trapped, nabbed by the blood trap.

Smashed another glass
Woke up the neighbour who pursued,
called the police
Who came flying in to stop his fleece,
Swooping on him like an eagle.

His game was up!
He was caught in the act
Caught in the God-net
Time to face the music
Do time for the crime
It’s the blood trap.
The power of prayer
The power of the Spirit
Pharaoh was caught in the blood trap.
Jehosephat’s enemies were
caught in the blood trap.
The blood-trap works!

The thief comes not but to kill, steal and destroy, but Jesus came to give us life and that, in its fullness.
God has the final word concerning us. As we look to Him, He will turn our captivity into victory. The enemy will fall into the blood-trap just like Pharaoh's army fell into the red sea and drowned. Just like Haman and his sons were hanged on the gallows he had prepared for Mordecai, so shall the enemy fall on his own sword, fall into the pit he had dug for you.
